More Than a Game

Author Ralph Robb discusses his entertaining novel with former music producer and footballer Steve Byefield. They reflect on the experiences of black footballers on and off the pitch in the 1980s as well as the issues that continue to confront societies that strive for equality and justice. The theme we’ll be covering here today is Sexual Discrimination and the lack of opportunity for young women playing football. Our guest today is Leanne Forker. Born in Scotland, Leanne has played football at a Competitive level since the age of 7 and currently plays for the Oakville Blue Devils in League 1 Ontario (highest level in women’s soccer in Canada).
