Bad Advice From Church People

You can get bad advice from anywhere, but bad advice from church leaves us with complicated emotions, because we expect church to be a safe haven of wise counsel. When advice from church goes poorly people often assume that they must have made a mistake in the implementation. Many feel shame attached to the area of their life they received bad advice in, that makes them feel like they can’t claim it as bad advice, which prevents them from asking more questions or having better conversations that might lead them to better advice.
