Shaykh Sulaimaan M. Ravat, is a distinguished scholar from South Africa. Graduating from the Alim Fadhil course in 2004 and securing an Honours Degree in Islamic Sciences from the University of Johannesburg in 2008, he has demonstrated a commitment to profound learning. His influence extends across various media platforms, earning him recognition as an award-winning presenter at Radio Islam International. Since 2004, Shaykh has hosted the breakfast drive-time show Sabaahul Muslim and currently serves as the Programs Manager Shaykh is a prominent figure in Muslim media, addressing a broad spectrum of topics encompassing religion, politics, social issues, and economics. Beyond the media realm, he is extensively engaged in public speaking, delivering talks at Masjids and conferences globally. His articulate style, well-researched discourses and ability to simplify and make religious teachings relevant to contemporary challenges, have garnered widespread appreciation. As an active member of the Executive Committee of Jamiatul Ulama SA and Deputy Secretary General of UUCSA (United Ulama Council of SA), Shaykh plays a vital role in the Muslim community’s theological discourse. Additionally, he serves his local community as the Chairman of the Nurul Islam Centre, home to one of the largest Masjids in Southern Africa. Shaykh is a Khalifah of the late Moulana Lutfullah Abbasi Madani and regularly conducts Zikr and I’tikaaf programs at Nurul Islam Masjid Shaykh Sulaimaan M. Ravat, a husband and father of five sons, has been a lifelong resident of Lenasia, Johannesburg, contributing significantly to both local and global Islamic discourse.
