Violence & The Sacred – The Cornerstone Forum
by René Girard
January 1, 1970 10:00 am
What we know of the earliest human communities from their art, myths, and sacrificial rites has been viewed backwards through a cloud of mystification. René Girard provides a lens through which the puzzling stories of dying and rising gods are revealed retrospectively by the light cast from Golgotha as a watermark of Christ’s sacrifice.
