Too many Christians are taught to not question religious authority, which means they are also taught to not question what they are being taught about their faith. Over the years, however, we are often given conflicting messages, which can lead to something called cognitive dissonance. We can’t actually alleviate this cognitive dissonance until we pull apart and question what we’ve been taught.
