The Hridaya is the spiritual heart, according to the teachings of Yoga. This podcast is a devotional offering of insight for living yoga and Indigenous Wisdom in our every day lives as we journey to the heart of Great Mother. We’ll discuss the rich teachings of Hindu philosophy and the way of Sanatan Dharma, focusing on works centered on Devi, or Goddess; alongside Native traditional teachings. Durga Dasi (she/her) is a descendent of the Chickasaw Nation; and shishya (student) of Swami Bhajanananda Saraswati at Kali Mandir. She’s a mom, herbalist, and teaches the Practices of yoga with trauma consciousness while sharing the devotional practice of kirtan. She is passionate about the environment, social justice, decolonizing wellness, and inviting others deeper into their own inner Sanctuary of Divinity.
