The Well-fed Artist

Creating music is deeply rewarding but can be frustrating and stressful. As a professional mixing and mastering engineer, my job is to make sure an artist’s vision and hard work translate into great records. But for the artists, great music is just one piece of the puzzle. Over the years, I’ve seen some of my friends and clients achieve amazing things, but I’ve also seen many independent artists struggle to build an audience and a career, even with serious talent and killer music. I don’t have the answers, but I know people who do! This podcast is my effort to tap into the knowledge and experience of artists who’ve successfully navigated some of the pitfalls and obstacles of life as a musician.
