Black Guys on White Movies

by

Join me, Aaron Covington, the co-writer of CREED, to talk about white movies. What is a white movie? It’s simple! Movies made for and by white people. In America that’s a vast majority of the movies! I am often joined by my good friend and cinephile Bernard Harris and in our movie reviews we ask one important question of these films and that is “How white is this movie?”

We talk about big classic movies like The Departed, Superman, Batman, Gladiator, Top Gun and more. We also delve into more independant faire like Lena Dunham’s Tiny Furniture and 1989’s Metropolitan. When we can make it to the theater we review current hits like Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes.

If you love cinema and are curious about how it’s shaping your world and reflecting the values of our society, or if you just want to laugh about how white these movies are and enjoy good natured banter about casting and film production, this is the podcast for you.
