David Wolfe, Gareth Kirwan and Stephen Fennessy, former film students and occasional film makers, watch and review one film a week from the IMDb top 250 films of all time. We also discuss what other movies we’ve been watching lately and touch on the biggest movie news of the week. Back from their hiatus, on this episode David and Stephen are discussing Dog Day Afternoon. At the start of the show we talk about season 6 of Game of Thrones, so if you want to avoid spoilers, skip to 7 mins, 36 seconds! Stephen gives us the usual Scandinavian TV Updateâ„¢, this time it’s an icelandic show called Trapped, which seems to give off a bit of a Twin Peaks vibe! We touch briefly on The Conjuring 2 and Independence Day: Resurgence before getting on to our main topic: Dog Day Afternoon, starring Al Pacino. Next week’s IMDb entry: Shutter Island Thank you to Stephen Ralph-Fennessy for our intro music. We do not own the rights to audio from any of the films discussed.
