January 1, 1970 10:00 am
Ivan Verstyuk is a Ukrainian journalist who lives in Kyiv, a city that’s been a target of Russia’s war since February 24, 2022. He takes his long walks around the city to see how the war is taking a toll on his city, to talk to people and reflect on what he sees. Fear and destruction, pain and suffering are everywhere. Ivan believes in the people of Ukraine and has faith that this country will survive the war and resurrect – just like a Phoenix . But who is Ukraine? Who will Ukraine be when it rises again? Ivan searches for the identity of Ukraine through conversations, personal musings and reflections on life in a time of war.
