The physical world: quantum – for iPod/iPhone
by The Open University
October 9, 2009 1:15 pm
This album examines the revolution in scientific thinking that overthrew classical physics in favour of quantum physics. Called the crown of the twentieth century, quantum mechanics is a blueprint for how everything behaves on an atomic level. Seven video tracks presented by Robert Llewellyn offer a beginner’s guide to quantum. He revisits the battle of ideas fought between Einstein and Bohr, explains the importance of the Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen Thought Experiment, and looks to the future of quantum technology. This material forms part of the Open University course S207 The physical world.
