The North American Wood Ape Conservancy is a non-profit scientific-research organization dedicated to solving the mystery of the animal commonly referred to as “bigfoot.” With a diverse roster of approximately sixty members, including biologists and other professionals, the NAWAC pursues education and research activities pertaining to the centuries-old “wildman” or “hairy man” phenomenon in North America. The NAWAC proposes that the source of the phenomenon is an unlisted large great ape. The organization is actively engaged in activities designed to test that hypothesis.
