She Talks White

“Oreo” “You talk pretty white.” “You should straighten your hair more.” I’ve heard these statements my entire life growing up in a predominantly white area. To all my black girls, who else can relate? I’m simply a sixteen year old trying to educate the masses about the challenges black girls face day in and day out within predominantly white spaces. Most importantly, I want to create a community infiltrated in black girl love, joy, and candidness.
