Welcome! I’m Dash Stevens, the creator of the History of Language podcast. It details the history of languages all over the world, and the people that speak them. I’m a historical linguist based out of California, and while working at a museum is fascinating and rewarding work, so is sharing this information about something so integral to our lives. Thank you so much for tuning in, and I hope you enjoy the show! In this brief episode, we take a look at Proto Norse, a language spoken in Scandinavia between the 4th and 8th Centuries CE, and which gave rise to the Old Norse language.
