Broken Things – or forgetting the dust at your feet is you

by

Broken Things tells a story that feels like it is told too often and not enough. We meet Electra and Orestes, brother and sister in a family where love and hate are sewn together, in a red time of dust and emptiness. We meet the Chorus of the Furies and Fate – someone constantly knitting – who sing dance scream shout for broken things. This sound poem of a play touches vengeance and justice, shit and wool, healing, hurting and what hope might feel like when hope was lost long ago. This is also a very real experiment. The author trying for the first time to write with sound and share this.
