What makes a good story? What elements fascinate and captivate us? At The Writer’s Guide to Story, we retell old stories and myths. Then we discuss the timeless story elements and archetypal patterns, such as the hero’s journey. Archetypes are inborn models of behavior that help us chart a path through adversity and help us stand firm through life’s travails. Archetypes exist within stories. By delving into stories we can study the archetypes and become better writers and storytellers. But this podcast is not just for writers.
