In 1932 Mary and Olan Mills started a photography business that would go on to become “The Nation’s Studio”. In the over 75 years it existed, Olan Mills employed countless thousands of people. Some, would only work a part-time stint while others would launch careers that spanned decades. These employees were part of a company that provided more than just photos, they preserved memories for future generations. They documented the fashion and trends of the times, and they captured the young faces of those who would inevitably grow old, bringing to each, a bit of immortality.
