ESOPUS (2003–2025) was an annual arts publication featuring multidisciplinary content presented in a striking visual format with minimal editorial framing and no advertising. Each issue included contemporary artists’ projects, materials from the Museum of Modern Art archives reproduced in facsimile, fiction, poetry, works on film, visual essays, and a themed audio CD featuring brand-new songs from a range of musical acts. The Esopus Foundation, the nonprofit organization which published ESOPUS, underwent legal dissolution in Spring 2025. This site is a digital archive.
