Inspired by Donna Haraway’s “Staying with the Trouble”, tales from the Chthulucene is a podcast made by artist Molly Jo Shea during her residency at the REEF LA and her work starting the CRISPR Institute. Its vision is to share stories with artists, makers, scientists, and educators about transdisciplinary work within art and science.
This second episode is with Lia Halloran, and titled from her project surrounding the Harvard Computers or Pickering’s Harem, the underrepresented women scientists who cataloged the stars! We talk about her role as a research-based artist, educator and artist and what it means to juggle these identities and passions. Her work can be found on her site: www.liahalloran.com and at www.luisdejesus.com.
