Data collection and data analysis became the backbone of every successful business. But, in the craze for more data, and the endless number of tools that are available for data collection and analysis that exist today we became addicted to QUANTITATIVE DATA:
– How many people visited my website
– How many clicked on my add
– What is the monthly churn rate
– Etc.
While qualitative data tells you what happened, it does not explain why it happened. You need to guess or assume that.
Qualitative data, on the other hand, can give you the answers to why things happen, which is a lot more critical in order to guide your future strategy.
