Join Chris Webb and Helen Armitage from the Sheffield Hallam University Careers and Employability Service as they take the leap from ‘The New Normal’ to ‘The Next Normal’ and explore how the Covid-19 pandemic may affect long-lasting change on different individuals and organisations from the world of business, education and careers. Each week, Chris and Helen will be joined by guests from a variety of different sectors to explore what the world of work could look like for professionals and job seekers as we move into the ‘Next Normal’.

Our Presenters:
Helen Armitage – A Senior Employability Adviser for the College of Social Sciences and Arts at Sheffield Hallam University. Helen leads on the Hallam Career Mentoring Scheme and primarily supports the department of Art and Design with in-curriculum careers delivery.
Chris Webb – An Employability Adviser at Sheffield Hallam University, Chris supports the Gradvantage programme for final year students and graduates, as well as collaborating with the College of Business, Technology and Engineering on in-curriculum careers delivery.
Our Guests:
Caroline Hanson – Caroline is a level 6 qualified careers adviser currently working with schools and colleges in Rotherham and North Notts. Prior to working with HeppSY she was employed by Sheffield Hallam Careers and Employability with experience in adult career guidance also.
Rachel Crowder – A Higher Education Progression Adviser at HeppSY, Rachel has previously worked with Sheffield City Council as a School Placement Officer, advising young people on apprenticeship opportunities within the region.
Mike Garnock-Jones – Mike originally qualified as a Social Worker (adolescent mental health) working in Liverpool, London and Sheffield. He moved into education and training, becoming a teacher and then leading partnership work in schools, FE and the region including Aimhigher, Enterprise Adviser Network and Made in Sheffield. He has been the Director of the Higher Education Progression Partnership (Hepp) since 2017.
Sabrina Mcketty-Edwards – A Sheffield Hallam University Film Production Graduate, Sabrina is currently a Higher Education Engagement Assistant with HeppSY, linked to Longley Park Sixth Form College (having previously also worked closely with The Sheffield College).
